Based on the graph above, it is shown that the size of blogosphere is doubling in each 200 days or to say on average 175,000 blogs created in 30days. Can you imagine how big is the blogosphere size as it is already so "HUGE" in the past and it is growing.

Trend in U.S., Europe and Asia

Most of the bloggers in U.S. and Europe are male above 35 years old. Surprisingly, the average age Asian bloggers are 18-34 years old which is 73% compare to U.S. and Europe where only 42% and 48% respectively. We could see more different demographic of bloggers across two continents as most bloggers in U.S. and Europe are married while 57% Asian bloggers are single (Technorati, 2009).



Types of blogs are prevalent in Malaysia

In Malaysia, public had talk a lot about politics blogs due to the elections as the opposition had use blogs to voice up their opinion. However, in Malaysia, what prevalent blogs are eventually personal, fashion, technology and many more. According to Sabahan (2008), 28% of Malaysian Top Bloggers write about their personal stuff and technology and politics on 16% respectively. One of the top bloggers in Malaysia which writes about his personal issue is Kenny Sia. kennysia.com has 4,828 links from 2,406 blogs under Technorati ranking system.

Benefits of blogs to Malaysian community

By blogging, there are benefits to community. Currently, even it is shown that Malaysians are more focus towards personal rather than political blogs, the recent election had shown that Malaysian are sensitive towards political blogs as well. Using blogs, opposition able to voice out their opinion where they do not have the freedom in local newspaper. Malaysians has benefits in terms of knowing more issue through blogs rather than relying on the local newspaper which publishing article that pro government since most of the publisher being own by government.
